There are millions of Blogger actively blogging and monetize their blog by Google AdSense ad units to generate revenue. There are many blogger who are surviving by depending on their blog. And more blogger initiating to take blogging as their career. So we have to monetize our blog carefully and perfectly thus we can increase our revenue. I am sharing the trick to monetize a Blog by different Ad units which can ensure maximum ads revenue. A blog is consist of 2 kinds of page-
  • Homepage – Landing page of a Blog
  • Article Page – Content Page of a Blog
So if we can perfectly monetize our blog then we can expect better revenue from our Blog. But there are different types of Blog with different design and layout. So you have to be bit tricky for better optimization.

Monetize Blog homepage

If you are an owner of a 2 column blog with left sidebar then you can place 728x90 leaderboard banner ad above the fold it will higher your blog brand value and increase clickthrough rates (CTR). But must display image ads only. As well as you can place this at the middle or at the end of your blog page. If your blog homepage height is standard then you can place the 728x90 leaderboard banner at the middle of the page and if the height is medium then place it at the end of the page. In left hand sidebar place 160x600 wide skyscraper ad unit. And it goes without say that place Adsense for search box next to the top navigation bar or in Blog credit section. Ad unit implementations will depend on your Blog Homepage’s layout and structure.

If your blog having sidebar on right hand sidebar then 728x90 leaderboard banner ad above the fold and place two 300x250 medium rectangle ad units. It will easily attract the visitor’s eye. You should display text and image ads.

Monetize Blog Content or Article page

If any visitor like your Blog homepage then s/he will feel interest to visit your blog content or article. And content is the heart of a blog. So we have to monetize the blog content page wisely thus we can generate additional revenue.

First of all, place 336x280 large rectangle ad unit at the upper left-hand sidein blog content or article body and you can display both text and image ads. And another 336x280 large rectangle ad unit can be place at the end of the post or above blogger comment box. In addition for tailoring blogger left sidebar place a 160x600 wide skyscraper ad unit. However don’t forget to place Adsense for search box next to the top navigation bar or in credit section.

If you are having a 2 column blog with right sidebar then place 336x280 large rectangle ad unitat the upper right hand site of the content page and you can display both text and image ads there. And another 336x280 large rectangle ad unit place above blogger comment section. And another 300x250 medium rectangle ad unit should be place at the right sidebar of the content page.
